    Description

Yatour Digital CD changer 10pin for 1993-98 VW Passat Jetta Golf SD USB Adapter. Condition is "New". Shipped with USPS First Class.
Compatibility: This adapter interfaces with compatible Volkswagen vehicles, allowing the factory radio to control certain Panasonic 6-disc CD changers. Note: Please, check Auto Install Guide to verify compatibility.
Connections: The adapter has an 11" cable with a 12-pin male DIN connector that interfaces with the factory CD changer cable (at the back of the vehicle). A 10" cable with a 13-pin male DIN connector plugs into the DIN connector on the Panasonic 6-disc CD changer.
About the OEM CD Changer Adapter
You bought a Volkswagen and now the dealer is telling you that adding a CD changer will cost you several hundred dollars. The Precision Interface VWPCPN6 adapter allows you to connect a Panasonic 6-disc CD changer to certain 1998-2002 Volkswagen radios with CD controls. Keep in mind that these adapters are not universal — each adapter works only in specific vehicles.
In all models between 1998-2002, if the factory radio has a round scan button, it should be prewired for a CD changer. The changer cable terminates in a rectangular 12-pin connector behind a panel on the driver's side of the trunk. When used with the VWPCPN6 adapter, the factory radio will control a Panasonic CX-DP610 6-disc CD changer. The adapter plugs into the factory cable terminator, and directly into the Panasonic CD changer. This adapter is compatible with the radio's "Mix" feature, which is random play.
Important Note: If the changer has been connected but will not operate, the factory radio may have to be programmed by the car dealer to accept a changer (usually an hour labor charge). It's not possible to determine if this procedure needs to be done until a changer is connected to the radio.
