    Description

    These are two very unusual engineer's style large wrenches, both marked Whitin. The Whitin Machine Co, in the company town it founded, Whitinsville Mass, was once one of the country's largest makers of textile machinery. This lot consists of one marked A4970, 7" long, opening 1 1/8", the other marked 60,  8 inches long, 1 5/8" opening, both heavy and solid, and in extremely good condition, considering they are around 100 years old. These were probably supplied as part of the tool set for one of the larger Whitin knitting machines. Hard to find. They ship priority small box at .30
