Stamps are all tied by first day duplex cancels with purple straightline REGISTERED marking and blue registry number on the front. On the reverse are two purple Philadelphia first day dated registry markings as well as purple Springfield receiver. Addressed to the well-known philatelist Raymond V. Bahr and with stamped purple Thomas B. Smith, Division of Finance, Stamp Section, P.O., Philadelphia, Pa. return address on the back. See scan(s) for additional details.
