    1993 " BABE RUTH: THE CALLED SHOT " lidded stein. This 8 1/4" lidded stein was made in Brazil by Ceramarte for Longton Crown. The 1st in the Legends of Baseball Signature series of lidded steins. Left side of stein reads:
    Babe ... Bambino ... Sultan of Swat. The Nicknames remind us of the glory that was, when a kid named Ruth put on a Yankee uniform in 1920 and changed the National Pastime forever. His prodigious home runs, his astonishing dominance of the Record Books, his zest for the game, his theatrics, and his love of children - All have made him America's Greatest Sports Hero.
