Baculite Fossils in Matrix Nice Display Piece Cretaceous Dinosaur Age Cephalopod

Description

This is a nice piece of matrix with fossil Baculites from South Dakota. Baculites are an extinct cephalopod genus with a nearly straight shell, included in the heteromorph ammonites. The genus, which lived worldwide throughout most of the Late Cretaceous. This piece has a tiny glue repair on one of the cracks, still a fantastic matrix display piece!
