    Description

Cherryland, Golden Rail Beer, Sturgeon, Bay, WI 1998 Milwaukee Brewers  Major League beer stein
In 1998, Wisconsin celebrated its 150th anniversary.  This was a Small Breweries of Wisconsin issue with a number of participating breweries including Capital Brewery, Leinenkugels, J.T. Whitneys, Sprecher Brewery, Cherryland Brewery.
Each stein that a brewery sold had one of it's logos on the top lid insert.  This one has the Cherryland Golden Rail  Lager logo on the top lid insert.    This was also a version that had the Wisconsin Sesquicentennial logo on the top lid insert.
Although it was planned to do 1998 steins, only a total of 500 were produced for all participants.   So the individual stein numbering will not exceed 500.  The brewers ordered steins throughout the year, the the numbering varies for each brewery.
There were two versions of the steins, a hofbrau version and a larger version with gold bands.  This is the large version.  8 1/8" tall up to the baseball shaped thumb rest.
Wisconsin Sesquicentennial logo opposite the handle,  Milwaukee Brewers logos on the side.  The steins were licensed by Major League Baseball through C.U.I., who manufactured the steins.
The stein is mint,  just like new.
Wisconsin residents add appropriate sales tax. See my other auctions for more pint glasses or steins. Pay by PayPal and we'll ship within one day of receipt of payment.
