Large PERISPHINCTES Dinosaur Era Fossil AMMONITE 3.36 Inches Jurassic Madagascar

Hi all!
This is a Perisphinctes Ammonite from the Late Jurassic (163-145 million years) of Madagascar! It measures 3.36 inches across! Ammonites are cephalopods, like squid and octopi, except they had shells. Ammonites lived from 416 million years to 65 million years ago when they went extinct with the dinosaurs. Scientists have documented over 10,000 species of ammonite! Perisphinctes is a diverse genus of ammonites with dozens of species that lived all over the world during the late Jurassic. The piece has wonderful shell preservation and is natural with no repair or restoration!
