    Description


    This is a large size for this species, rare fossil ammonite called Mortoniceras equidistans. It is around one hundred a three million years old plus or minus five million years. It shared the world with the dinosaurs and it's species died out with them.
    It comes from the Upper Albian Stage, Cretaceous Series, Washita Group, Fort Worth formation of North Texas, U.S.A.
    It measures 7-3/4" wide, 6-1/4" tall, 1-5/8" thick and weighs 4.8 LBS. It has great ribs and tubercles! It has two smaller ammonite on inner whorl! One on the front and one on the back It has all of the living chamber to the rostrum! I have flatten the bottom for a natural stand! It has no repair or artificial colors.

    has all of the paleontology, stratigraphy and locality information on the back.
