    Vintage Gibson Bass String Mute 1967-1973 ~ SMA-1CR ~ Beautiful Original, Rare
    Vintage, original Gibson, and in beautiful condition! This is from an EB3 (1967?). It will fit various Gibson and Epiphone basses from the 60's and 70's. Paired with the Tune-O-Matic bridge, this was an awesome Gibson invention! This example is in near perfect condition.
    The mute is complete, with felt. See pics. Probably the best looking one that I have seen. Very little use.

    This bridge will fit the following Gibson basses produced between late 1967 and mid-1973
    EB-0 EB-0L EB-1 EB-2 EB-2D EB-3 EB-3L Melody Maker Les Paul Bass (the original version from 1969-72, NOT the later/current ones)
    and some *very early* EB-4L, SB-350/450 and Les Paul Triumph Bass models.
    It will
    NOT
    fit Thunderbird, or Ripper/Grabber/G-3 series basses.
    This bridge can only be used on the basses where it was a part of the original equipment. It will NOT work on the pre-67 basses with the original slanted bridge design (and no individual saddles) and it CAN'T be used on instruments that were originally fitted with a 3-point bridge.
