Vintage Porsche Furstenberg Stuttgart Collectible Plate
I purchased this plate from another collector who told me that it was given to him as a gift when he visited the Stuttgart Porsche factory in the early 1970's. During a break between his business meetings with company executives, he was offered a tour of the premises which he gladly accepted. It was on this tour that he spied this lovely plate at the workbench of a Porsche technician and, thinking it would make a nice souvenir for his wife, asked his tour guide where he might be able to purchase one. Imagine his surprise when the technician looked up at him, smiled, and in perfect English offered him the plate as a gift which, after his efforts to decline proved futile, he graciously accepted.
Measuring 5 1/2" in diameter, this plate has no chips or cracks and shows only light patina. I have included multiple high resolution photos showing its exact condition.
